There are 7 wonders of the world but there are still some that leaves us speechless like the dumb cane ( Pun very well intended) ,the dumb cane is a plant that is widely Grown in Nigeria. This plant can make you temporarily Dumb when ingested. Wow!.The sap from the stem and leaves of this highly poisonous plant is known to contain dangerous quantities of needle-shaped crystals of calcium oxalate that when chewed result in an intense burning sensation and then loss of speech in humans – hence the name dumb plant. There is another plant, The skeleton plant that turns transparent after contact with water! Amazing right? I know.
